Hello First Eucharist Families!

As in the past, we celebrate the month of our Blessed Mother Mary with a May Crowning. This year, our May Crowning at OLV is this coming ,Sunday May 7 at 8:15 am Mass. Please join us as we crown our Blessed Mother with a wreath of flowers and honor her as the Queen of Heaven and the Mother of God. 

In keeping with our past tradition, one child from the First Eucharist group is selected to crown Mary . All who have just received First Eucharist are asked to wear their First Communion clothes and be part of this special event during the Mass. There will be carnations for all to hold during the ceremony and place in a vase for Mary after she is crowned.

Please respond to let me know if your child is interested or not interested in crowning Mary by or on Wednesday,  May 3.

I ask that every family respond with either:

Yes, (Name) would like to be considered for the crowning of Mary.

or

No, (Name) would not like to be considered for the crowning of Mary.

I will put all the names submitted in a bowl and pick one child to crown Mary. There will be a follow up email to all on Thursday, May 4. Please contact me with any questions.
