...A community of joyful disciples knowing, loving, and serving God and each other.

About Us

ABOUT US.

Our Lady of Victory Church is located in the Sycaway section of historic Troy, NY on a beautiful campus near Frear Park.  Our campus includes our Rectory, our church, our Parish Center and an office building.  Our parish also includes Our Lady of the Snow Mission Church in nearby Grafton, NY on Owen Road.  At the current time, our pastor also oversees Christ Sun of Justice Parish on the RPI Campus.  These three communities have been linked together for several years and share resources with one another.  Our current pastor is Father Thomas Morrette, who began his ministry here in August 2021.  We have two deacons are on our staff - Deacon Willis Wolf and Deacon Brian Lewis.  Our Faith Formation Coordinator is Caitlin Levine who oversees our educational ministry which offers religion classes to children grades 1-10 including preparation First Reconciliation (Confession), First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Our parish offers an RCIA program for non-catholic adults who want to enter the Catholic faith.  Our parishioners are involved in many ministries and multiple opportunities for service within our church community and the community at large.  Our parish choir and music ministry is currently under the direction of Marjorie Voytko.

We have active Finance and Pastoral Councils which assist the Pastor in his ministry.  A ministry that we are particularly proud of is Our Lady of the Snow Food Pantry in Grafton, which offers food assistance to those in need every Saturday.  An “Early Childhood Program” operates out of our Parish Center and offers a Pre-Kindergarten program for 3 and 4 year olds.

Our Lady of Victory Church celebrated 100 years of faith and service in 2022.  Our parishioners come from varied backgrounds.  Many are longtime graduates of Catholic Central High School; others live nearby and find a happy home here in our parish and in our peaceful suburb of Sycaway.

We are blessed to have an active Knights of Columbus Council for men and a Columbiettes Council for women.  They are vital part of our parish and serve us with dedication and generosity.
