Hello First Eucharist Families!

God Bless our First Communion children and all of you!  Thank you for your time and support to make this day so special!

As in the past, we celebrate the month of our Blessed Mother Mary with a May Crowning. This year, our May Crowning at OLV is Sunday May 15 at 11:15 Mass.

Please join us as we crown our Blessed Mother Mary with a wreath of flowers and honor her as the Queen of Heaven and the Mother of God.  In keeping with our past tradition, one child from the First Eucharist group is selected to crown Mary . All who have just received First Eucharist are asked to wear their First Communion clothes and be part of this special event during the Mass. There will be carnations for all to hold during the ceremony and place in a vase for Mary after she is crowned.

Please let me know if your child is interested in crowning Mary by Monday, May 9th.

I ask that every family respond with either

Yes, (Name) would like to be considered for the crowning of Mary.

or

No, (Name) would not like to be considered for the crowning of Mary.

I will put all the names submitted in a bowl and pick one child to crown Mary. There will be a follow up email to all by Wednesday, May 11, the latest.
