Sunday Gospel Background In Sunday’s Gospel from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, He compares His disciples to salt and light, common things that make a valuable difference. Salt brings out the best flavors in foods. Light warms and brightens. It dispels the darkness. Without refrigeration and electricity, the people of Jesus’ time valued salt to preserve food and lamplight to find their way in the dark

Sun.  Feb. 12 - Grade 1-8 sessions @ 9:45 – 10:45 am in the Education Center classrooms.

Sun. Feb. 11 & Sun. Feb.  12 - Gr. 9-10 Souper Bowl of Caring Collection for OLS Food Pantry and Troy Roarke Center. The collection will be held in the Church Gathering Areas before and after all OLV/OLS Masses (No Grade 9 am sessions).

Sun. Feb. 19 & Feb. 26 - No Class Winter Break     

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 22. Ashes will be distributed at 12:15 PM and 7:00 PM in the OLV Church.
