Good afternoon OLV/OLS Families,

I hope you are well and are looking forward to kicking off our ’23-’24 Catechetical Year tomorrow! I am grateful to all of you for your adaptability and patience as I have stepped into this role. Please find some important reminders and updates for tomorrow below!

• Grades 2 and 5/6 will NOT be meeting for class tomorrow due to no catechist substitute and my inability to be in two places at once. Parents/Guardians of our 5^th/6^th Graders – the Parent Meeting is still on! See you there!
  • Grade 2 Parents/Guardians, you do NOT need to attend this meeting as we already met this past Wednesday.
• Catechetical Sunday Blessing and Commissioning – Sunday, September 24^th at 9am We will kick off our year by worshipping together at OLV 9am Family Mass.  Our catechists will receive a blessing and be commissioned for our Faith Formation Year. ALL are welcome and encouraged to join us. We are excited for you all to join! 
• Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) Resumes – Sunday, September 24^th at 9am Mass Children ages 3 to 7 are welcome to participate in CLOW held most weekends at the 9am Family Mass. CLOW offers an age-appropriate learning experience of the weekly Gospel. 
• Grades 1, 3, 4, 7-9 FF Sessions Begin! – Sunday, September 24^th from 10:15am-11:15am Grades 1-8 will meet in the OLV Education Center Classrooms and Grade 9 will meet in the Parish Office Building.

o   The Red Doors to the Education Center from Church will be open for families to enter through at the conclusion of Mass. The Education Center Main Door (by the parking lot) will be opened by 9:45am. Parent/guardian, please make your way into the Parish Hall by 10:15am. With our new Mass schedule in effect, please use extra caution in the parking lot as Mass concludes around 10am.

• Parents of children in Grades 1-3 should bring their child(ren) into the building each week. This week after you enter, you will head into the Parish Hall for our meeting.
• Parents of children in Grades 4-9 can drop off or escort their child(ren) into the Ed. Center Main Entrance or Parish Office side door each week. This week please enter for the Parent Meeting.
• Grades 9-12 are invited to a Youth Ministry Kick Off with our Assistant Coordinator of Youth Ministry, Peter Ogno, happening during our session time on Sunday in the Parish Office Building. This will serve as the first session for our 9^th Graders. Come brainstorm, over light refreshments, what the youth ministry year will look like. Hope you can join! 
• Grades 1, 3-9 Parent Meeting – Sunday, September 24^th from 10:15am-11:15am One parent/guardian from every family must be in attendance for this meeting. I am looking forward to meeting you all! I will provide an overview for our program curriculum and events, expectations, and important dates. If you are unable to make this meeting, please let me know ASAP. 
• Grade 10/Confirmation Sessions Begin – Wednesday, October 4^th from 6:30pm-7:30 Sessions will be held in the OLV Parish Office Building. Please be sure to have your teen bring their blue Chosen book from last year!!!
