Good morning OLV/OLS Families,

I am pleased to announce that the2023-24 Faith Formation Registration is now available! Registration and payment is due on or before Friday, September 1^st. Registrations received after this date will be charged a $10 late fee to cover expedited shipping.

An email was sent to returning families on Friday, August 4th with the Parent Letter, Registration Form/Photo Release, Parish Registration Form and 2023-24 Faith Formation Calendar. Please carefully read the Parent Letter for a full overview of the program and registration information. Mark on your calendars the session and meeting dates from our 2023-24 Faith Formation Calendar. You are also able to find this information at www.olvols.org/formation.

To register and pay online, please visit: https://www.wesharegiving.org/App/Form/aa06b7ab-da26-4e6f-84b3-db29f1f3fd4a.  Hardcopies will be available in the OLV Church Gathering Area, the Parish Office or at your request. There will be no mailing this year, please share with your family and friends who may be interested in registering their child(ren)!

Upcoming Dates

• Sunday, Sept. 17^th– Grades 1-9 Faith Formation Sessions begin! (Time: 9:45-10:45am in OLV Education Center/Parish Office Building)
• Sunday, Sept. 17^th- Catechetical Sunday - The Church will celebrate Catechetical Sunday on September 17, 2023. The theme is “Come to me all you who labor and are burdened” from Matthew 11:28.  Our designated catechists will receive a blessing at the 11:15am Mass that Sunday. This celebration allows each of us to ponder our call to pass on the faith, and for parents/guardians especially, what it means to be your child’s first catechist.
• Sunday, Sept. 17^th– Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) starts back up at the 11:15am Mass (For children ages 3-7 (Pre-K – Gr.2))
• Wednesday, Sept. 20^th– Grade 2 First Reconciliation Parent Meeting (Time: 6:30-7:30pm in OLV Parish Hall)
• Wednesday, Oct. 4^th– Grade 10 Confirmation Prep begins! (Time: 6:30-7:30pm in OLV Parish Office Building)

Your support is invaluable!

With just a handful of weeks until our program is fully underway, we are always looking for individuals to offer their support.  Our youth and program needs your love for Christ and heart to serve.  We have various opportunities to get involved:

• Catechists or catechist assistants (Grades 1-10)
• Gatekeepers
• Other roles as events come up (bakers, chaperones, etc.)
