Hello Grade 2 First Eucharist Parents,

I wanted to address some of the questions that I have received regarding the First Eucharist Parent Meeting with Fr. Morrette on Wednesday, Feb 9 at 7 pm in the OLV Church. 

This meeting is for the parents only. Please wear a mask.  We understand if only one parent can attend and appreciate your time. In event that no parent/guardian can attend, we will have to arrange for a make-up session for either the individual or as a group (depending on number who are unable to attend). Fr. Morrette will be leading the meeting and has an agenda of items that he wishes to cover with you. Also, each family will receive a folder of resources and information that will be reviewed at the meeting. Right now, it looks like we will not have to limit the number of people who attend the Celebration of the Sacrament of First Eucharist.

Weekly Reminders: Our next First Eucharist Prep session is Sunday, February 13 @ 9:45 – 10:45 in the Parish Center.

February 6 - Liturgy of the Eucharist
Opening discussion: Jesus Feeds the Crowd: Close your eyes and picture the biggest crowd of people you’ve ever been in.  Maybe you’ve been to the Disney on Ice or Monster Trucks or an event at the Times Union Center; maybe think of the big crowds at Great Escape, the airport, a city, or the Schaghticoke fair. Now imagine that everyone in that huge crowd was there with Jesus.  You are with Jesus, too, and after many hours everyone gets hungry.  Jesus turns to you and asks you, "How can we feed all these people?"  What would be your answer? 
Let's see how Jesus solves this problem.
