First Reconciliation/Eucharist

Reconciliation Lamb

FIRST RECONCILIATION - As a parent/guardian, you are your child's primary religious educator.  Your child watches what you do, absorbs your values, and looks to you for guidance.  It is through you that your child learns to relate to God and others.  Modeling for your child an openness to receiving the gift of God's unconditional love is perhaps the core of your parental responsibility.  The Sacrament of Reconciliation, whether or not it is being celebrated for the first time, is a time for the family to become more fully open to the forgiving love God lavishes upon us and its power to heal and change our hearts.

ADULTS  - how do we explain to our children what Reconciliation is all about??  Matthew Kelly shares some insight "Second Chances" and on the beauty of GRACE, that truly is the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

FIRST COMMUNION DAY

The Sacrament of the Eucharist is one of the Sacraments of Christian Initiation.  The Eucharist is the ritual, sacramental action of giving thanks and praise to the Father. First Eucharist brings Catholics together to share the Body and Blood of Christ, which is the heart and summit of the Church's life.  (CCC, #1407).

Immediate preparation for First Eucharist will take place during regular Faith Formation classes beginning in March 3, 2019 (10:30-11:45).  However, please keep in mind that the foundation and groundwork for celebrating the Sacrament is intertwined within the curriculum beginning in September of 2019!
